William J Brabender

We lost Billy November 9th. William Jay Brabender was born November 19, 1965, in Madison, Wisconsin. 

He was a loving father, dog dad, son, brother, a gifted mechanic, lover of his Nova & Norton, and a loyal friend to so many of us. He loved so very much and was so very proud of his son, Will (little Billy), and his accomplishments. Billy cherished and loved to show off not only his son, but also his dogs, Scruffy and Buddy. Billy loved all three with all of his heart. Billy enjoyed the antique cars and motorcycles, and was so very proud of his '67 Chevy Nova and his Norton motorcycle. Billy knew a lot about antiques and enjoyed memorabilia; sharing his treasures with friends he thought would appreciate them. He loved all animals, wild and domestic, and would put himself at risk to rescue them. He took care of his disabled mom for years, as well as another disabled man. His circle of acquaintances was wide; so many people knew him and cared about him. He had a habit of carrying old photos around with him, pulling them out as evidence of long forgotten events. He had an amazing memory for everything that he ever heard or saw as a child. He had a lot of empathy for pain because he knew pain intimately, both physically and mentally. 

Rest in peace, Billy. Your life was not easy and it wasn't fair. Ultimately it was too hard for you to bear any longer, but you touched many along your journey. I hope you have found safety and peace. You will be dearly missed.

Billy leaves behind his son, William Droes; his father; his brother; along with many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He is predeceased in death by his mother, Shirley Keith.

Church service will be held December 11th at GraceWay Church (65 13th St., Prairie du Sac Village of WI, 53578) at 1:30PM, with gathering, food, and beverage to follow afterwards.
