Wannetta "Deta" Lee Schroeder

LODI – Wannetta “Deta” Lee Schroeder, 71, of Lodi, passed away on August 27, 2025, at the Sauk Prairie Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Deta was born in Madison, WI to Alfred Zimmerman and Shirley Urben on February 2, 1954. She attended school at Madison East and Lodi high school. Deta married Daniel Schroeder on August 24, 1985, on their farm in Lodi. She worked alongside her husband Dan running their company Schroeder Transport Services for 47 years. Deta’s most favorite things to do were working with her husband, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandkids. She also loved cooking for family and friends and helping with whatever activities her family was involved in.

Deta is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Janet Carlson.

Deta is survived by her loving husband, Dan Schroeder, with whom she shared 48 years of love and partnership; her three children, Nikki (Don) Rasmussen, Holly Schroeder (Howie Cox), Mathew Schroeder, and nephew Jeff (Heidi) Schroeder, whom she regarded as a son. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and seven siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025, at their family farm, at N1572 Smokey Hollow Rd., Lodi from 1 pm to 5 pm. Please join us in sharing memories of Deta.
