Terrence McNamee

December 2, 1977 — March 22, 2026

Terrence James McNamee, 48, of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at UW Hospital in Madison following a traumatic brain injury.

Beloved son to Peter and Kathy McNamee of Beloit, he is also survived by his daughter, Macy Tinder of Phoenix, Arizona, and his siblings and their spouses, Brandon (Brett Glass) McNamee and Cassandra (Dan) Forsell of Portland, Oregon. Other survivors include an extensive network of aunts, uncles, and cousins who graciously extended their love and support in his final days.

Terrence was an avid outdoorsman who cherished Turtle Creek, the Sugar River, and the Boscobel area. As a young man, he spent summers working in the fisheries of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, and winters working the ski slopes of Aspen, Colorado.

A lifelong reader and music enthusiast,. he had a deep appreciation for a wide range of 19th and 20th century writers from J.R.R. Tolkien to Walt Whitman, as well as early American blues and folk recordings.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Terrence’s name to The Overflowing Cup Total Life Center in Beloit. A private memorial service will be held this summer.
