Sharon L. Forrest

Jul 14, 1949 — May 25, 2026

"If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true!"

Sharon L. Forrest, affectionately known as Nana, passed away peacefully at her home in Wautoma, WI, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 76, and is finally reunited with the love of her life, Allen "Pa" Forrest.

Born in Kenosha, WI, on July 14, 1949, daughter of Pearl & Oscar Pierantoni, she now got to celebrate her dearly departed mother's 100th birthday with her in heaven!

Sharon's home was a true reflection of the things that brought her joy, packed to the brim with a lifetime of love for all of the finer things. From her beautifully curated Disney collection to her never-ending and much-treasured jewelry, Nana just couldn't get enough, to which Allen graciously provided more room to store.

Sharon was also the keeper of memories, quite literally. The most unorganized, organized person some have ever met. She saved absolutely everything related to the people she loved (even some she didn't care too much for); every piece of left-behind mail, scrap of childhood art and schoolwork, lost and forgotten clothing, every tiny kid's knickknack and toy, all the way back to lost baby teeth. (Grandpa held on to the important stuff Nana would, "I know I put it somewhere, I just saw it!")

But she didn't just store these things away; her house wasn't just filled with those memories, her heart was. She remembered the story behind every single item she held onto.

Sharon also found peace at home making beautiful floral arrangements, tending to her beloved poodles, cooking enough food to feed a small army, playing the piano and singing (when her hands allowed for it), decorating for holidays (she especially loved Christmas and having up multiple trees all year long), antique shopping, and patiently watching and feeding the many deer that visited her yard daily; memories of times spent with "Pa" that she cherished and held on to all of these years without him.

Throughout her life, she wore many hats and was never afraid of hard work for the things she wanted and needed. She served her community as an EMT, worked closely with her favorite things as a jeweler, a hairstylist, and put in hard hours as an in-home health care worker. But there was no job she loved more, or took more fierce pride in, than being a homemaker.

From the moment her eyes opened in the morning until they closed at night, Sharon was in motion. She was always taking care of someone, some animal, or something. Sharon and Allen sacrificed their golden years together to help others. They selflessly stepped up and raised their 5 grandchildren (along with others) for decades, making sure they were always loved and cared for. They were a safe space for children that would have never known it otherwise. Every concert, karate class, ice skating lesson, parent teacher conference, or pick-up line... Nana and Grandpa were there. We never had to wonder who would be there for us.

Sharon was a lot of things, and she never did anything quietly. To put it honestly, she was stubborn, crazy, and hard-set in her ways. Everyone knew it; not a soul could change her. But she had a wild energy, a bright smile, and a contagious laugh that could fill up any room she walked into. Beneath all the chaos and her loud exterior was a heart of pure gold that belonged entirely to her family.

She leaves behind a deeply loved family: her six grandchildren, Karissa, Cory, Sami, Aliah, Ariah, and Tyler; nine great-grandchildren who absolutely melted her heart; and her children, Tracey and Justin Forrest.

She also leaves behind many beloved sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Allen F. Forrest; her parents, Pearl A. Mugford and Oscar A. Pierantoni; and her sister, Linda.

Your pure chaos and endless love will truly be missed. We love you, Nana 💙

A celebration of life will be held at a future date to honor a woman who was truly one of a kind.
