Sandra Beas Keys, born in Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy and passed away on January 19, 2025, from long-term medical complications in Jefferson, Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Brodbeck Beas and Herold Beas; her brother, Tim Beas; and her husband, Robert E. Keys.
Sandra is survived by her children, Kurt Patrick Lewis Jr. (Kristal Lewis), with grandchildren: Jackson, Samuel, Kurt III, Jonathan, Daniel, Judah, and Tristan; and Mathew Eaton Lewis (Sarah Lewis), with grandchildren: Cassandra, Rhys and Ellenora.
As one of seven children, Sandra’s siblings include Hal Beas (Susan Beas), Tim Beas (deceased), Lynn Vitarius (Bob Vitarius), Gerri Beas, Patty Beas, and Michael Beas (Terri Beas).
Those who knew Sandra best recognized her spirited and driven nature. Despite the challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of light to many. Her infectious smile and laughter filled the homes she lived in, and she made friends wherever she went. Sandy was inspiring and warm, welcoming people into her life simply to enjoy time spent together—she cherished the feel of the sun on her face.
Sandy was a vibrant person who truly embraced life. Her adventurous spirit and warm-hearted nature created countless cherished memories for her friends and loved ones. She used her skills as a florist and gifted painter to brighten difficult times for many people and continuously looked for ways to make others happy.
Sandy’s favorite topic was her grandchildren, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments. She relished every opportunity to hear about their lives and share in their joys.
At this time, there are no local services planned. A memorial will be held this summer on July 5, 2025, in Ohio, with family and friends.
