Robert F. Richards, Jr

Robert "Rob" F. Richards Jr., age 66, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at UW Hospital after suffering a stroke. Rob was born on May 30, 1957, to Robert F. Richards Sr. and Jacqueline J. Richards in Madison, WI. Rob graduated from Madison East High School in 1975.

Rob worked for many years in the printing industry at Webcrafters Inc. Over the years Rob enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. He was ecstatic to see the Cubs win the World Series in 2016. He loved racing and spent many Sunday evenings watching midget car racing in Sun Prairie. Above all things, Rob cherished his faith and was a devoted follower of God and Jesus. Rob always had a bible verse for anyone who was needing some love and guidance. Rob met the love of his life, Linda, at City Church. Rob and Linda were married in 2001. Together they enjoyed studying the bible, helping others, and traveling.

Rob is survived by his wife, Linda Richards; his two daughters, Lisa (Justin) Mehringer of Monona and Kirsten (Kevin) Clair of Idaho; two grandchildren: Grant and Anna Mehringer; four siblings: Charlie (Lisa) of Cable, John (Jan) of Fall River, Kristi (Dean) Pavlue of Waunakee, and Traci (Mike) Christopherson of Hayward; and many nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Deb Richards.

Rob honorably chose to be an organ donor. The gift of organ donation is such a precious gift. We find comfort knowing a part of Rob helped someone else.

Per Rob's request, there will be no funeral. A favorite bible verse of Rob’s:

John 3:16 ~ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
