Robert Reed Jr.

March 27, 1947 — June 10, 2026

Robert Reed Jr. passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 10, 2026.

Born on March 27, 1947, at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Virginia, Robert was the son of Gertrude and Robert Reed Sr. During his childhood, the family moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and later to the Milwaukee area, where Robert spent most of his adult life.

It was in Milwaukee that Robert met the love of his life, Nancy Campbell. Their love story began while Robert was working as an usher at a local movie theater. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion, sharing 47 years of marriage.

Robert was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent most of his working years as a semi-truck driver, providing for his family through hard work and dedication. His greatest pride was always his family.

As a father, Robert was deeply involved in his children's lives. He coached his son's Little League team, leading them to a championship victory. His home was always open to his children's friends, many of whom became like family to him. He lovingly considered many of them his "bonus children," including Rick Johnson and Sheri Rudoll, whose friendships remained special throughout the years.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Reed; his mother, Gertrude; his father, Robert Reed Sr., who bravely served during the Korean War and gave his life in service to his country; his brother, Donald Steward; and his son, Robert Reed III, who fought a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his sisters, Tina (Ladd) Frank and Sherry Wilke; his son, Ronald (Dawn) Reed; his daughter-in-law, Connie Reed; his cherished grandchildren, Violet Semrow, Easton Reed, Camden Reed, and Bennett Reed; and many nieces, nephews, special friends, and extended family members.

Robert will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous heart, and his welcoming home. Whether coaching Little League, spending time with family, or offering support to those around him, Robert touched countless lives with his kindness and strength. His legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly and the many people fortunate enough to call him a friend.

A funeral will be held at a later date.
