Robert Clayton "Bob" Obney Jr, 82, of Whitewater, WI, passed away on March 10, 2024. He was born in Barberton, Ohio, on July 8, 1941.

Bob, was a dedicated family man and a loving husband to Karen. He was a caring father to Leslie (Mike) Grether and a proud grandfather of Patrick. Bob is survived by his siblings, Jerry (Betty) Obney and Sue Roberts. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarine; father, Robert C Obney; and brother-in-law, John Roberts.

Bob attended Norton High School, in Ohio. He furthered his education at Kent State University, graduating with honors. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Bob enjoyed gardening and cherished moments reading with his grandson, Patrick. He was an active member of the Whitewater Lion's Club, a jazz aficionado and a Buffet “Bash” concert groupie.

Bob was a member of Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church and supporter of the philanthropic work of the Whitewater Lions Club.

A Celebration of Life is planned for April 20, 2024, at 841 Brew House located at 841 E. Milwaukee St., Whitewater, WI 53190, from 3PM to 6PM, to honor Bob’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Whitewater Lions Club, or Shriner's Children's Hospital. 

Rest in peace, Bob. You will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
