Robert "Bob" Turner Ballard

Robert “Bob” Ballard passed away the dawn of May 10th, 2020 after a long illness, in peace and the presence of loved ones. Born in Massachusetts, he came as a boy with his family to Rockford, IL. There he later met Valerie Nofsinger, who became his wife. Together they founded the painting and decorating company Ballard Decorating, and had four children. Bob took on an active home life after retiring from the company to support his wife’s career. He became a gourmet chef, master landscaper and gardener, and teacher to his children. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Welton (Red) and Barbara Ballard. He is survived by his wife Valerie; children Sean, Phillip, Stuart, and Allison; brother Scott; sister Cindi; niece Katie; nephews Daniel and Andrew; and three grandchildren Vienna, Jack, and Freyja.
