Reita Copley

Reita Evone Copley, 66, passed away in the late afternoon on Wednesday February 5th, 2025 at Beaver Dam Health Service (Bedrock) in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She was born in Traverse City, Michigan to Gloria and Lyle Kracht. Reita attended Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Wisconsin. After high school, Reita attended college, and received her degree in nursing.After college, she started working at the University of Wisconsin Hospital as a Licensed practical Nurse and eventually as a Registered Nurse. Reita always put others before her own needs. So much so, she volunteered to work regularly in the ER and with inmates at the hospital. Reita was married to Wade Copley, and was happily married for over 25 years. After retirement, Reita and her husband Wade loved spending time with her grandkids, birdwatching for cardinals, and attending high school sporting events. On a Friday night, you could expect to see them at Marshall Senior High cheering on their favorite team. Reita also loved making cookies for her children and grandchildren. Reita loved her dogs Boomer(Boston Terrier) and Katie(Black Lab). She will be deeply loved and missed, always.

Reita is survived by her daughter Shannon Radiski, her son Joseph Wilke and her son Matthew Wilke. Reita is also survived by her brother Herbie Kracht, her sister Brenda Kracht and her sister Tammy Kracht.

 A small celebration of life for Reita's family and friends is planned for this summer. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the wonderful staff of Rainbow Hospice for going above and beyond for our family.
