Rebecca Ann Phillips, age 75, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Becky was born on May 24, 1950, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Barton and Margaret Brown. She went on to devote her career to serving others, working as a labor and delivery nurse for 43 years at the Sacred Heart hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Becky’s warm heart, and tireless commitment guided countless families through some of life’s most meaningful moments, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will never be forgotten.
Becky is survived by her son Andrew and his wife Renée, and her grandson Hendrix, who brought her the most joy in life. She is also survived by her three brothers Stephen, David, and Paul, as well as a large and loving extended family who will cherish her memory. She now joins her first husband, Rick Schlieve, and her second husband, Bob Phillips, in the afterlife.
Those who knew Becky will remember her as a vibrant woman of deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and her work. She will be missed dearly by all whose lives she touched.
A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at the East Side Club in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 13th from 3-7 pm to honor the many ways she gave of herself to her family, friends, and community.
