Randy Homerding of Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids died from complications of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome on July 17 at UW Hospitals in Madison. Randy was born to Loretta (Babcock) and Russell Homerding on June 22, 1955 in Wausau. He graduated from Wausau High School and the University of Wisconsin in Madison. His passion was progressive politics which he followed on a number of news sources and he looked forward to attending Fighting Bob Fest every year. He was an avid reader and enjoyed classic films. He took great joy in playing with his nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful and compassionate caregiver to his mother in her later years.
He is survived by his sisters Linda (Ted) Moskonas,Wisconsin Rapids; Pamela (Steve) Hildebrandt, Kendall Park, NJ; and brother Gordon, Port Orchard, WA. He is further survived by nephews Micah Moskonas, Brian Hildebrandt, Christopher Homerding, and nieces Sarah (Kristin Johanneck) Moskonas, Jennifer Hildebrandt, Connie (Angelo) Cipollaro, and Jessica (Rhex) Villa. He is also survived by his great nephews Harvey Moskonas, Theodore Moskonas, Anthony Moskonas, Rhomen Villa, and great nieces Ruby Moskonas, and Victoria Villa.
Randy was a kind, gentle soul who was passionate about human rights and social justice. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.
