Peter Paul Zalanowski

Peter Zalanowski passed away at his residence in Sun Prairie, WI, on May 1, 2023, at the age of 79, following complications from a stroke. He is survived by Annette, his wife of 51 years; Kevin, his son; Sarah (Opolka), his daughter-in-law; and grandchildren, Nolan and Nora. He is additionally survived by siblings - Paul, Joe, and Alice. Peter was born and raised in Shamokin, PA. He was a long-time resident of Altoona, PA, where he worked as a Medical Technologist at the VA Medical Center. Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mildred; and by his brother, John.

Friends in Altoona will be received at Stevens Mortuary on Saturday, August 12th from 10am-12pm; a funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 14, in Shamokin at 10am at Our Lady of Hope. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.
