Pablo Negron Jr

July 5, 1951 — June 13, 2022

Pablo (Paul) Negrón, Jr., age 70, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 5, 1951, in Manhattan, New York, Pablo was the cherished father of, Cyndi Galley, Yvonne Jacobson, and Suzie Genin, the loving brother (“Junior”) of Sonia Curbelo and Jorge Gonzalez, and the beloved grandfather (“Papa Duck”) of Olivia Jacobson and Micah, Samantha and Isaac Genin. A ’69 high school graduate of Franklin High School in Los Angeles, Pablo worked at Sinclair Paints, at DaVita Dialysis, and as a security guard for The Dodgers in the 80s for several years. More recently, his security job career took him to several beautiful locations in Southern California. He enjoyed being on the various sets he guarded while movies were being filmed. A resident of Southern California for most of his life, Pablo enjoyed skiing, taking road trips throughout the U.S., and capturing life moments of loved ones (family and friends) through photos and filming videos. Some of his favorite places to spend time included the beach, lakes, and the mountains. He also enjoyed creating and building furniture pieces and carving out wooden décor. Never being idle, Pablo used his hands for over forty years to help build, fix, and repair; And what many may not know, he was even featured in “These Hands,” a 60-second 2016 Ben Carson Presidential Election Ad. Pablo enjoyed classic cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed eating good food, as well as cooking and firing up a grill. Those who loved him experienced his favorite dishes seasoned to perfection. He was caring and brought joy and laughter to our family through his dance moves to songs he loved. An avid collector of many things including straw hats and uniquely crafted knives and swords, he was overjoyed in finding well-kept free items on the street, as well as collecting from The Cozy Home after recently relocating to Madison, WI. A man of strength who fought to the very end, Pablo passed away at home surrounded by his family. Pablo is survived by his children, Suzie, Yvonne, and Cyndi; Grandchildren, Isaac, Samantha, Olivia, and Micah; Son-in-law, Jeremiah Genin; sister, Sonia Curbelo; brother, Jorge Gonzalez; Andrea Negrón, brother-in-law, Robert, his nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
