Nicholas David Yankaitis, age 41, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, unexpectedly left this world on June 23, 2024. He died doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle in Madison on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Born on October 22, 1982, in Rockford, Illinois, Nicholas was the beloved son of Thomas Yankaitis and Kathleen Kunz.
Nick found great joy and satisfaction in his career and entrepreneurial endeavors. He began as a proud member of the IBEW electrical union before transitioning into industrial maintenance.
Nick's most notable characteristics were his brilliant mind for tinkering and understanding how things work. He had a natural talent for solving complex problems and enjoyed helping others with this gift.
Outside of his career and hobbies, Nick cherished social interactions and had a knack for making new friends wherever he went. His outgoing nature and genuine interest in people made him a joy to be around. He had a love for the city of Madison and enjoyed nothing more than to go out for a night on the town.
Nick is survived by his father, Thomas Yankaitis; his mother, Kathleen Kunz; his sister, Jennifer Yankaitis Hanner (Bill); and his brothers, Nathan Yankaitis (Kayla) and Benjamin Walters. He is also survived by his adored nieces and nephews: Jackson, Emilee, Melanie, and Brock; along with other extended family members. His energy remains in all of us.
Nick’s celebration of life will be held on July 21, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hilton Garden Inn Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
