Neal Allan Poole May 20, 1930 – September 1, 2021 Neal Allan Poole (91) died September 1, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on May 20, 1930 to Edwin Booth (E.B.) and Marjorie LaMont Poole. Neal was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Howard, Lyle, Merle, Genevra (Olson), Stanley, Janice May, and Terry Poole, and his wife, Shirley (nee Schimming) Johnson Poole Neal is survived by his four children – Deborah Proctor, David (Jacquie) Poole, Todd (Carrie) Poole and Kelly (Kathy) Poole, their mother, Joyce Poole, as well as step-children Michael (Rhonda) Johnson, Cheryl (Scott) Wardell and his spiritual son, Tim (Mary) Johnson. Neal had 9 grandchildren - Jason Proctor, Rachel (Michael) May, Meaghan (Steve) Cibarich, Jenna Poole, Brian Poole, Stephanie (John) Micheau, Andrew (Sunita) Poole, Jessie Miller, Jeremy (Christa) Poole, 1 step-grandchild - Kristopher (Melissa) Rodriguez, and 20 great-grandchildren. He was pleased to learn about his first great-great grandchild on the way. Neal loved life, his family, and many friends. He enjoyed gatherings especially with good food, cards, and dancing. He volunteered his time to help others by shuttling friends to appointments as well as sharing his firm belief in the Bible and God's promises for a peaceful future where “no resident will say, 'I am sick'”(Isaiah 33:24) and death and mourning “will be no more” (Revelation 21:3 &4). Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 14, 1961, he is well known and loved by fellow Witnesses in Wisconsin, throughout the United States, and internationally.
