Nancy Jane Lichtenberg (Elliott), age 75, entered the presence of the Lord on Thursday, April 10th. Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the only child of Herbert Elliott and Betty Reid. Nancy had an extreme love for animals from birth and frequented Lincoln Park Zoo as a young child. Nancy became a Wisconsinite in her 30’s and grew her family on a farm in Hustisford with her husband of 42 years, Dennis Lichtenberg. She worked as a dog walker, veterinary assistant and eventually retired from ER Wagner Caster & Wheels in Hustisford.
Nancy loved both animals and flowers and surrounded herself with both throughout her lifetime. She always tried to see the beauty in life and was notorious for being a very caring and giving individual. She would give you the shirt off her back, if needed…. revealing her Tweety Bird tattoo.
Nancy was reunited in heaven with her loving parents and her father-in-law Darwin Lichtenberg. She is survived by her husband, and her daughters Rachel (Chris) Dryden, Rebecca Suitter, Kimberly (Jeremy) Zimmerman, and Amanda (Daniel) Hendrickson; and grandchildren Rhea, Ash, Ethin, Avery, Harley, Aiden, and Addy.
The family will be doing a private celebration of Nancy’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local humane society.
