Mishell Elaine (Manthe) Lendborg, age 69, passed away on June 8th, 2026 at her home in Sun Prairie surrounded by family, following a short but valiant battle with kidney cancer.
Mishell was born to Robert and Elaine (Schey) Manthe in Madison, Wisconsin on April 12,1957. She was raised in Sun Prairie where she remained her entire life and was a graduate of Sun Prairie High School Class of 1975.
On October 18, 1980, Mishell married Daniel Lendborg bringing Melissa, Justin (Buck) and Joshua into the world before divorcing in 1990.
Mishell dedicated nearly 37 years to the State of Wisconsin Employee Trust Funds (ETF), retiring in 2014, only to return as an LTE employee in 2015. Her dedication extended until April 2025, when her health required her focus.
Travel was a passion she shared with her daughter Melissa and granddaughter Raven, exploring numerous countries and nearly every U.S. state. She found joy in gardening, crafting, watching her grandkids plays and sporting events, playing her favorite slot machines, going to flea markets, garage sales, craft fairs, concerts, and Packer games, yet it was her family that was her true treasure.
Mishell had an innate ability to make friends wherever she ventured, her engaging conversations and humor left lasting impressions. Her heart was generous, always extending help to those in need.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Lendborg; sons Justin Lendborg and Joshua (Ashley) Lendborg. Mishell was a proud grandmother to Raven Lendborg, Madisyn Woerpel, Mason Lendborg, and Carter Lendborg. She was very excited to become a great grandmother to Raven's baby girl, due in November.
Mishell is also survived by her sisters, Sherry (Tom) Anderson, Roberta Bohling, and Alicia Weihert; nieces and nephews, Jason and Jenny Anderson, Jessica Chambers, Jeremy Weihert, Hunter and Zach Bohling, and her great nieces and nephews, Lily, Deion, Elena, Curtis, and Dylan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Elaine, her dear sister Kelly, and brother-in-law Jamie.
A celebration of Mishell’s life will be held at The VFW Post #9362 - 329 South Walker Way Sun Prairie, WI June 27th from 1-4 p.m.
Family would like to thank the Agrace Hospice team, especially Kelly, Marie and Nicole for their compassionate care and support.
