The world lost a remarkable source of light with the passing of Mindy, whose spirit seemed to glow from the inside out. She lived with an open heart, always ready to lift someone’s day with a kind word, a warm smile, or a helping hand. She moved through life with a hopeful spirit that lifted others, even in the moments when she carried her own quiet burdens.

Mindy is survived by her mother, Vicky Ross; brother, Toby (Linda) Carlson; brother, Mathew Marks (Rochelle Chadwick); sister, Michelle (Craig) Rabuck; nephews, Zach Carlson, Cherub Marks, and Evan Marks; cousin and close friend, Kim (Jason) Anderson; former husband and friend, Brad Kirchesh; close friends Pam and Tim Keyes; many aunts, uncles, cousins, a large community of friends, and her beloved cat, Bella Joe.

Mindy loved people with an ease that made everyone feel welcome in her presence. May her light shine bright in every life she touched, and her spirit continue in the warmth we share with each other in her honor.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Willows Tavern, 5485 Willow Road, Waunakee, on Saturday, February 28, 2026 starting at 2pm.

Cremation Society of Madison is assisting the family.
