Michael Thomas Engelhard

Michael Thomas Engelhard, age 71, of Mazomanie WI, passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital on July 9, 2021, as a result of an accident. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. Mike lived and worked in many places through the years eventually settling in Mazomanie for the last 16 years. Mike was a member of Gateway Community Church in Middleton WI since 1994. He was very involved with the church and a founding member of the PIG program, which works with the local Piggly Wiggly store in helping to provide grocery store items to MOM's (Middleton Outreach Ministries) to help people in need . Mike was an encouraging, joyful and caring individual. He loved people and had many friends. No matter what the conversation, he always came up with a funny" one liner" which made everyone laugh. Mike especially enjoyed getting together with some special friends to play 'farkel' once a month, and cribbage with anyone willing to play. He was the son of Frances and George Engelhard. He is survived by his wife Lori Engelhard, brother Guy (Christine) Engelhard, and sister Debbie Jenkins. Mike was a man of strong Christian faith, an we know God has taken him home so that now he is able to walk with the angels without worries. A Celebration of Life will be held at Gateway Community Church (3510 High Road, Middleton) on July, 28, 2021 at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Middleton Outreach Ministries or to the Gateway Community Church.
