Mark Callahan passed away on Saturday, July 13th, at Agrace Hospice. Mark was the youngest child of Tom and Leone Callahan.
Initially raised in Chicago, he then moved to Madison with his mother and siblings. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. Mark loved movies, books, Christmas village decorations, and dogs. He had many dogs over the years who were his most faithful companions and near the end was determined to have another to spend time with and care for. He was married to the love of his life, Deb, in 2001 in Reno, NV, and spent many wonderful years with his "Tweety".
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Leone; his sisters: Mary, Anne Kowalski, and Janet; brother-in-law, Frank Kowalski; along with many other family members.
He is survived by his wife. Deb; sister, Catherine; brother, Tom; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Kevin Key and Barney and Dyann Janey; and many nieces and nephews.
Mark will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was always entertaining to be around and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for his care over the last year, especially Nikki and Mary Jo.
