Mark Christopher Behnke

Mark Christopher Behnke was born in 1965 in Chicago, IL, to Janet (Zei) and James Behnke.

He had a successful career in the financial industry after graduating from EIU. Mark raved about his great high school and college memories with “the boys'' and the other special relationships he formed along the way. He was an avid guitar player and published a book of poetry later in life. Mark loved football, with Fantasy Football being one of his latter loves. He flourished in the outdoors and spent time hiking and going on weekend adventures. Mark's family and friends were extremely important to him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his mother, Janet Behnke; daughter, Sara Behnke; and girlfriend, Nancy Alt. Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Behnke, and father, James Behnke. There will be a private memorial with friends and family.
