Linda Kay Ripley

December 29, 1947 — June 12, 2022

Linda K. Ripley of Cottage Grove, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022, following a hard-fought, 10 month illness. Linda was born on December 29, 1947, in Portage, WI, the daughter of William and Margaret Procknow. She grew up in Oxford, WI and attended Westfield High School. She married David Ripley in 1966 and together they raised three children. She worked as a stay at home mom for many years, then worked at several companies in Oxford and Madison, WI. After moving from Oxford, she lived in Madison for many years allowing her to spend more time with her grandchildren. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and their accomplishments and was thankful to be close to them to enjoy all those moments. Linda loved to bake, with many enjoying her famous pies and yearly heaping platters of Christmas goodies. She also spent numerous hours crocheting blankets for loved ones over the years, keeping them warm during Wisconsin winters. Linda is survived by her daughters, Paula Kodl (Curt) of Cottage Grove, Stacy Kemnitzer (Paul) of McFarland, and her son Mitchell Ripley (Laurie Dulitz) of Pewaukee. She is also survived by her four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter; Allison Poss (Kirk) and their daughter Haisley of Kewaskum, Lexy Kemnitzer (Coltton Richter) of Waukesha, and Addison and Ashlyn Kodl of Cottage Grove. She is further survived by her beloved sister, Nancy Natzke (George) of Lodi. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and many other beloved family and friends. Private services were held for Linda, with a celebration of life to take place at a later date. Linda’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Agrace for their care and compassion over the past few weeks. Memorials may be made in her honor to Agrace.
