Lenard Purves

Lenard Purves, 71 of Portage WI passed away at home on November 14, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1954 to Glen and Elaine Purves.

Lenard was united in marriage to Donna (Hickethier) Purves on May 24, 1975. He is survived by his wife Donna, son Scott (Erin), grandchildren Caden, Hudson, and Rylan, sister Debra Judd, sisters-in-law Jean (Randy) Hinze, Rita (Scott) Maass, June (Allen) Fredrick and Lori (John) Myhre and brother-in-law Rick Maass. Lenard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan, brother-in-law Donald Judd, and sister-in-law Joyce Maass.

Lenard served in the Navy aboard the USS Constellation from February 1972 through February 1976. After his service he was employed as a truck driver and was proud to be a Teamster. Lenard looked forward each year to the deer hunting season. He hosted a get-together for his family and friends the day before to share hunting stories before the big hunt.

The family would like to thank Rita Maass, the UW Cancer Carbone Center and Agrace for their care and support.

Cremation Society of Madison is assisting the family. At Lenard’s request, there will be no visitation nor service.
