Lawrence Joseph Schoenbechler

Lawrence “Larry” Joseph Schoenbechler died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sun Prairie, WI. Larry is survived by his daughter, Kayla Marie Schoenbechler; two grandchildren, Jamie and Azalea; eight siblings, Chuck Evenson (Janice), Mark Evenson (Connie), Marie Pulkrabek (Kevin), Michael Evenson, Jean Nowak (Wayne), Christine Schoenbechler, Corrine Evenson, and Kari Allen (Jeff); his Aunt, Rosemary Flannigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Larry was born on June 7, 1971 in Marshfield, WI to the late Donald Schoenbechler and Janet Gilbertson. He went to high school in Menomonie, WI where he lived for several years before moving to the Madison area twenty-five years ago to be near his daughter. Here, he worked as a professional painter until his death. Larry grew up as the baby in a large family of siblings and close cousins in MN and WI. All loved him dearly. He will be remembered for his big smiles and BEST hugs, his gentle heart, his love of family (especially his daughter and grandbabies), and his passion for animals. A Celebration of Life will take place in Benson, MN on August 20, 2022. Time and location will be announced at a later date.
