Larry Stormer (68) of Madison passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife, Elaine, by his side.
Larry is survived by his wife Elaine, his children Alicia & Andrea, and his two wonderful stepchildren Brad (Lisa) and Ryan (Gina). Larry had 8 grandchildren, whom he adored: Audreyanna & Roddrick (Andrea), Conner and Morgan (Brad & Lisa), and Griffin, Kamryn, Joseph, and Amelia (Ryan & Gina)
He was also survived by his brothers, whom he loved: Mike (Leigh), Keith (Kristy), and Rick. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph, mother Mildred, and nephews Theo & Joseph (Rick & Stacy).
Larry always had a passion for music. In his college years, that passion found him drumming with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps and playing as a member of the 1975 team to win the National Championship.
Larry enjoyed fishing and loved to do so regularly, especially with Teddy Maglio, one of his lifelong friends. Larry was also an avid bowler. He bowled weekly as a part of a league and competed in state tournaments, where he created many dear friends.
On behalf of the Stormer and McIlwee families, we want to express our immense gratitude to Agrace Hospice—and Toni, Taylor, and the CNAs—for the excellent care Larry received, and to Elaine’s sister, Carrie, who played a major role in keeping Larry’s wish to remain in his home. Thank you to Teddy and Sarah Maglio and to all those who reached out with their support towards the end of Larry’s journey—we know it meant a lot to him.
There will be a celebration of life for Larry Sunday April 3rd at 1:00pm at Rex's Innkeeper, 301 N Century Ave, Waunakee, WI 53597.
