Katherine "Kathy" Ada Brumley, age 62, of DeForest, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born on August 21, 1962, Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and making cherished memories with her grandchildren. Kathy had a heart full of warmth and a personality that lit up every room. She loved cooking delicious meals, camping with close friends, playing softball, and bowling-a favorite pastime that brought her both joy and community.
She also had a lifelong love for elephants, and she wished to be remembered with a smile whenever her loved ones see one.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Brittnay (Justin) DeMinter and Nichole (Jack) Rusch; and her grandchildren, Everett, Sawyer, Olive, Brianna, and Allison. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael and David; her niece Heather; and nephews Matthew, Michael, and Colby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Beverly Georgeson; her grandmother Ada Wilke; her brother Ronnie Georgeson; and her sister Vickie Davenport.
In keeping with her wishes, a celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the UW Carbone Cancer Center, whose compassionate care and vital research meant so much to Kathy and her family.
