Jon's mother described Jon as a delightful little boy. Bright.
Active. Inquisitive. As an adult Jon struggled with paranoia
and therefore had trouble with his social skills. But he managed
to support himself as a private contractor and 'handyman' and
was even able to buy a house on the north side of Madison.
Jon was tender-hearted and generous almost to a fault,
considering his financial situation. Over the years he provided
shelter and a bed to several, otherwise homeless, people and
was forever helping others with a few dollars to get them
"Over a Hump". Jon will be missed.
Jon is survived by sisters Heather Carol Stevens and
Dawne Irene (Stevens) Pamplin, by brother Daniel Derrick Stevens,
and by father Paul Robert Stevens. His mother Dianne
Irene (Zimmerman) Stevens died in 2023.
