John W. Kneubuhler

June 30, 1948 — January 27, 2021

John “Jack” Kneubuhler passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Jack was born in 1948 in Madison, WI to John and Edith (Kalhagen) Kneubuhler. He attended East High School in Madison and enlisted into the US Navy in 1966, proudly serving as a flight director on the USS America. He later worked at Oscar Mayer for 20 years before retiring from the City of Madison-Streets Division. Jack was also an accomplished photographer in the Madison area. Jack had many interests over the years including running, weightlifting, motorcycles, woodworking, writing, and listening to music. As a child and young adult he was an avid pheasant hunter, and fisherman. He excelled in baseball, and was a Golden Gloves boxer. Jack is survived by his ex-wife Patricia, their three children; Rachel (Joshua) Kelly, Leah Kneubuhler, and Adam Kneubuhler; his sisters Kathy (Ken) Fellerson and Mary Jo (Jon) Haag; four grandchildren; Joshua, Joaquin, Channing, and Ellie; and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Eric Kneubuhler. As a proud life long north side resident, Jack lived life to the fullest, lived in the moment, and would never change that for anyone. Jack will be missed by many, as he always made a memorable impression with everyone he met. Jack was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran church. A service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park when weather or COVID restrictions allow.
