John Scott Obituary MADISON - John Scott, age 72, died on July 1, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on April 5, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Esther Mabry and Clifford Scott. He graduated from the Roosevelt High School. He served in the Army. John was a hardworking family man who retired from the University of Wisconsin after 36 years. He was a dedicated volunteer and enjoyed giving his time to the church and the American Legion. He is survived by his son, Andrew (Sairah) Scott, his daughter, Christine (Alan) Sponem, and his grandson, Sean Sponem, of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Scott, of Illinois, and Esther Mabry, of Wisconsin, and his siblings, Clifford Scott Jr., and Dorothy Bennett, both of Illinois. A Celebration of Life service will be held in August 29, 2021 at American Legion Post 0501. John was a great man who touched countless lives and will be deeply missed.
