John Laurence Bennett

John Laurence Bennett, 69, died August 13, 2021 at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin after a brief illness. He was born December 5, 1951 in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Emmett Leslie Bennett, Jr. and Marja Adams Bennett. John graduated from West High School in Madison, class of 1969, and attended the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, receiving a degree in electrical engineering in 1974. After graduation he worked at Norland Corporation in Fort Atkinson, and at its spin-off Hi-Techniques Inc., which later moved to Madison. John continued there until his retirement in 2020. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Bennett. He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen Bennett of Madison, Cynthia Bennett of Denver, Colorado, and S. Christopher Bennett of Hays, Kansas. He was loved and appreciated by those who knew him, and will be truly missed.
