John Bryant Hendricks

January 16, 1949 — April 16, 2026

John Bryant Hendricks, known as “Bryant”, 77, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home with Hospice Care after courageously battling a rare and aggressive Lymphoma. Bryant was born & raised in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in SC, NC, Colorado and Wisconsin.

Bryant left behind a legacy of joy, kindness, generosity, service and a deep love for God, family and others.

Bryant’s entire life was one of service to others. After graduating from Johnson Bible College, he was ordained as a minister in the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, serving for a decade in South Carolina. He ministered to others through various short term missions to Bolivia, San Salvador, Argentina, Jamaica and Thailand. He later became a Licensed Practical Nurse, primarily focusing on private duty nursing in Highlands North Carolina. He also focused on children’s lives through local projects, volunteering efforts and community service with Kiwanis in Colorado & Wisconsin and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Colorado.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen; His children, Hannah, Joshua (Stephanie) and grandson, Liam. He loved his children dearly and was especially blessed to know they were following Jesus. He is also survived by his brother in law, Charles Powell (Angie Keener Powell) nieces, grand nieces and nephews as well as many other extended family and close friends who will carry on his legacy.

A celebration of Bryant’s life will be held on May 9, 2026 @12 noon at Mosaic Church, Littleton, Colorado and again on May 16, 2026 at Bridgepoint Church, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
