Joanne M Gootee

Joanne M Gootee, age 79, of Cambridge, WI, passed away on May 3, 2024. Joanne was born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 9, 1945; the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Niedzialkowski. She graduated from South Division High School and continued her education earning a nursing diploma from Gateway Technical College. On October 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Frank Gootee. They were blessed with 24 years of marriage and 3 boys, Luke, John, and Lawrence. Frank proceeded her in death in 1988.

Joanne was a dedicated nurse for 46 years; working at KMH 9 years, FAMH 22 years, and GHC for 15 years. She was a member of St Pius X Catholic Church of Cambridge and later studied the Bible at Door Creek Church of Madison. Joanne enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den mother, slalom water skiing on Lake Ripley, bowling, and bird watching.

Surviving is a brother, David; sons, Luke (Valerie) and Lawrence (Pam); many nieces and nephews; and most of all, her many wonderful grandchildren.

The family is planning to host a celebration of life later this summer.
