Joan M Ludington

Joan M. Ludington (née Heimark), age 90, passed away on February 15, 2026, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She was born on July 9, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Laurina Heimark, both of whom preceded her in death.

On February 20, 1965, she married Kenneth N. Ludington. Earlier in her life, Joan worked as a pharmacist apprentice at Orange Drugs in Schiller Park, Illinois. She later enjoyed many years in Florida, embracing the sunshine and warmer climate.

Joan was a talented and enthusiastic crafter. She found joy in painting, creating dolls, and expressing her creativity in many forms. She also enjoyed trying her luck from time to time, a pastime she approached with good humor and spirited enthusiasm.

She is survived by her children, Jill Ludington and Harrison Ludington. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Moore, in 2019. Joan was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be remembered for her creativity, resilience, and the love she shared with her family.
