My name is Jeanne Marie Gilbertson, and I was born into this world on March 24, 1961, to my parents Lyle and Inez Gilbertson in Monroe, Wisconsin.
If you knew me, you laughed a lot both with me and at me. I tried to always keep a sense of humor, smile, and positive attitude towards those around me to help brighten their day. I love my family and my friends with my whole heart.
I am the very proud Mom of my son, John Darrow (Audi Nett) and granddaughter, Maci Darrow; my daughter, Lindsay Henry and grandson, Tyrann Reichers (father, Brandon Reichers); I am one of the Magnificent 7 and a very proud sister of brothers: Gary (Jayne), Dennis (Rita), Richard (Michelle), and Kent; sisters: Vickie (Bruce Stamn) and Julie (Dale Thompson); and of course the most fun loving Aunt to my nieces, nephews, and their families.
I loved the beach, boating, traveling, great music, playing the spoons, and most importantly, being with and supporting my family and friends. When I thought I may never find love again my “Jimmie” (Jim Ryan) walked into my life and to this day I wonder how I got so lucky. I played in the Mount Horeb Middle School and High School bands, threw the baton, and twirled it like no other redhead could. I played softball, track, and was a very proud cheerleader. I worked for Cuna Mutual for 35+ years and then worked in Mount Horeb for chiropractors, Peter Kish and Mark Bohl; I always did my best to be the perfect fan for both of my kids through the love and compassion I provided for them every day.
Thank you Agrace and thank you all for sharing your lives with me. Remember to smile, do something good, and pay it forward.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Mount Vernon Park on a date to be named later.
