Gabriel James Schuett

Gabriel James Schuett, age 46, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away on October 18th. 

Born on May 1, 1979, Gabe was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School and attended college at Denver University. 

His life was shaped by his deep appreciation for nature, his passion for fishing, his lifelong love of animals, but more than anything he loved his family and friends. Those who knew Gabe will remember his gentle spirit, sweet demeanor, curiosity about the world, and the complexity of a life lived with both challenge and depth. 

Gabe is survived by his father, Jeffrey Schuett (Kathleen Vignos), his mother, Carrie Schuett, his siblings, Rebecca Smaglick (Ben), Nicholas Schuett (Tianah), and Tina Schuett (Terra Bogart), his beloved nephews, Liam and Alden Smaglick and nieces, Anya and Ingrid Schuett and Louisa Bogart-Schuett, as well as his long term partner, Kristen Waisley. 

Gabe’s warmth, wittiness, and unique outlook will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Anybody who had the joy of crossing his path knows no one was a stranger for long. He had an infectious fervor for life and saw the beauty in everything and every one. Gabe was truly magnetic.
