Eveon Louize Husebo

March 2, 1946 — June 30, 2021

Eveon Louize Husebo, (nee Knutson), of Madison WI passed away peacefully at UW Hospital after a short battle with cancer, at 75 years old. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Eveon was born in Viroqua, WI, on March 2, 1946, to the parents of Leonard Lauritz and Evelyn Rose (Boak) Knutson. Her father was stationed in Germany at the time of her birth. Residing in Madison, WI, all but the first seven years of her life, which she lived in rural Soldiers Grove and Lake Geneva, WI. Eveon attended kindergarten at Soldiers Grove; in Madison, she attended Emerson, Lincoln, and Lowell elementary schools, Schenck Middle School. She attended Madison East High school from tenth grade through twelfth grade, graduating in June of 1965. While in high school, Eveon worked at Golden Age and City View Nursing Homes. Eveon married William (Bill) Husebo on January 14, 1967, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Madison, WI. Together they had two children, Todd 1967, and Debbie 1969. Eveon chose to stay at home to raise their children until they were in school full time. Eveon kept busy working in her flower gardens, keeping her yard beautiful, taking care of the family home, and being the best Mom possible. Eveon and Bill traveled twice to Jamaica with their good friends Ray and Judy Schallert. Eveon was not much of a traveler, preferring to stay around the home with her feet firmly planted on the ground. They also took a family trip to Colorado to visit her grandmother, Clara Knutson, and Aunts Eileen and Rosella. Eveon and Bill bowled in a couples leagues until Bill was diagnosed with lung cancer. Eveon also bowled in a women's League with her mother, Evelyn, sister Carolyn, daughter-in-law, Penny, and many friends over the years. She re-joined the workforce, starting at IMC until she was recruited by Madison Gas & Electric as a Records Technician. Eveon retired from MG&E in April of 2008. Eveon was preceded in death by: Husband, William (Bill) Husebo (2002). Grandparents, Lauritz and Clara (Hanson) Knutson and George and Stella (Maybe) Boak. Parents, Leonard Lauritz (2004) and Evelyn Rose (2019) (Boak) Knutson. In-laws, Harry (Hap) (1986) and Viola (Vi) (1994) (Wagner) Husebo. Her Grandson's father, Karl Krueger (2009). Sister-in-law, Beverly M Leighton (2012). Brother-in-law, Gordon Kraut (1995). Nephews, Shane E Michaels (1971), Lydel L Knutson (2008). Niece, Alicia A Knutson (1991). Uncle, Edward J Knutson (2012). Aunts, Alice, Clarice, Theresa, Eileen (sisters of Leonard and Edward Knutson, Olivette (Earnest) (Pat) Dyer, Alice (Tene) (Johnny) Hegge, sisters of Evelyn Boak Knutson. Many other relatives too numerous to list. You are gone but not forgotten. Eveon is survived by Her son, Todd (Penny) Husebo Stoughton WI, Her Daughter, Debbie Husebo, Madison WI. Grandchildren, Evan J Krueger, Hydee L Husebo, Karee A Husebo, Kayla M. Krueger and Tyler Krueger. Sisters, Lenora A Kraut, Finger Tennessee, Carolyn K (Glenn) Johnson Rural Portage WI. Brothers, Lewis L (Raydeanna) Knutson Rural Ferryville WI, Lauren W (Karan) Knutson Rural Ferryville WI. Brother-In-Law, Philip Leighton of Madison WI. Aunts, Dorothy Knutson of Milton WI, Rosella. (Wally) Shaw of Colorado. Nieces and Nephews, Paula (Chris) Dulin Conroy of Pardeeville WI, Christy (Terry) Davis of Bardstown, Kentucky, Amy (Andy) Olson of Lacrosse WI, Lewis Knutson II Baraboo WI, Jacob Michaels Tennessee, Travis (Beth) Knutson of Janesville WI, Karalee (Tyler) Leatherberry of Baraboo WI. And many great Nieces and Nephews. Special Friends, Judy, and Ray Schallert She is also survived by her best furry friend, Rocky, her Pitbull lap dog. Rocky was very protective of Eveon but also a big cuddle muffin. A SPECIAL THANKS to Tom Cunningham for the many home repairs and building a ramp that Eveon unfortunately never got to use. All of us appreciate you. Eveon, you may be gone from this earth, but you Will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. We all Love you. Memorial donations may be made to the family. A (Casual Dress) Celebration of life will be on August 21st from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Eagles Club and lunch will be served. Located at 2109 Bartillon Drive. Madison, WI 53704. In the near future the internment of Eveon's ashes will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Madison, where she will be reunited with her husband Bill.
