He was born on September 25th, 1942, in Platteville, Wisconsin, to Erwin & Lillian Dartsch. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Dennis married the love of his life, Betty Ann Brunton, on November 16th, 1968, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, and together they raised three children - Melissa, Dawn & Craig.
Dennis worked for Wisconsin Bell, AT&T, and Ameritech, where he retired after 32 years of dedicated employment. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona to escape the Wisconsin winters, loved riding his Harley, and tinkering with his computer and anything dealing with electronics. He had a love for music and enjoyed mixing music, which he did so for many years for the Mad City Ski Team. He was a member of the Wisconsin Pioneers and looked forward to attending their monthly meeting get togethers.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Erwin; mother, Lillian; brother, Albert; and his daughter, Melissa. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Dawn Swiggum; son, Craig (Lisa) Dartsch; sister, Patricia (David) Jones; 4 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; as well as many dear relatives and friends.
Dennis will be forever missed and never forgotten, he was compassionate and made us smile and laugh with his witty sense of humor and his love of telling jokes.
A celebration of life in Dennis's honor will be held on August 19th, 2023, at the VFW in Platteville from 1-4.
