Dee Alan Thompson

Dee Thompson of Madison, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 10, 2021 at the age of 66. Dee is survived by his beloved wife and soul mate, Theresa, and devoted son, Ian; his siblings, Carla and Terry(Shorty) Leskinen, Georgia Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Lizzie and Don Parmer, Larry Thompson and Phyllis Thompson. In-laws, Janell Rice and Fred Bucksbaum, Jennifer and Ed Stenjem, Kelly Seim, David Seim, and several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Dee was proceeded in death by his parents, George and Doris, grandparents, Jack and Josephine, and sister, Valerie Priebe and her husband Ray, Dee’s brother, Dennis Thompson, and father-in-law, John Seim. Dee went into the Navy after school and then worked for the State of Wisconsin for over 33 years before he retired in 2017. He loved walleye fishing, ice fishing, all Wisconsin sports teams, helping Theresa with their garden, working on his car, cookouts with family or friends, and helping out others with projects. But most of all Dee loved spending time together with Theresa and Ian just hanging out or working on projects. A celebration in Dee’s honor will be held on September 18, 2021 at Benvenuto’s, 1849 Northport Drive, Madison, Wisconsin from 3 until 6 pm. Memorials can be made to the family, or The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County.
