Obituary Dale F. Rohde

Born December 2, 1933 in Horicon, WI to Benjamin and Angeline (Card) Rohde, he died on March 8, 2026. He was a US Army veteran and attended Milton College in Milton, WI. He married Marian Bell in 1954. After college he joined Gaarder & Miller a medical business consulting firm and continued with Suby Von Haden & Associates after the firms merged in 1990 until his retirement in 1994.

His interests in life were his family including pets (mostly cats), vacation travel, a cottage in northern Wisconsin and gardening. Dear to him were the opportunities he and Marian had to travel in the US and abroad, including the eighteen months they lived in Germany and Italy while he served in the US Army. Winter vacations on St. John in the Virgin Islands were an annual trip, as well as family camping trips when their children were young. For 30 plus years their Northern Wisconsin lake cottage was a frequent destination.

Surviving Dale are his brothers Charles and James, sons David (Kyoko), Peter (Nancy), daughter Sarah (William) Schwantes, grandchildren Rebecca (Brett) McNalley, Daniel (Wendy) Rohde, Andrew Rohde, Christopher Rohde, Michelle Rohde and Ross Schwantes, great grandchildren Elaina, Nolan, Harrison Rohde and Declan, Delaney, Brady McNalley, plus nieces and nephews. Proceeding his death was his wife Marian.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Internment and a memorial service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on April 17, 2026. Memorial gifts may be sent to The Dane Co. Humane Society, The Parkinson’s Foundation or to the church.
