Dale Finke

March 5, 1946 — July 28, 2021

Madison - Dale Finke passed away July 28, 2021, at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. Dale was born in 1946 to parents Emery and Emma Finke. Dale graduated from Marshall High School. He married the love of his life, Janine (Mick) Finke, in 1967. They lived in the Madison area and had 2 sons. Dale suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for much of his life, but he was able to have a successful career in the transportation industry. In his free time, Dale loved dancing with his wife at the many music performances they attended over the years. The Greg Anderson Band was one of his favorites where he could watch his wife sing with the "The Lemon Sisters.” Many memories were also made on the Wisconsin River sandbars and family gatherings at the property. In addition, Dale enjoyed years of vacationing with family and friends on the island of Saint Martin. He was a beloved grandfather to his 7 grandchildren, rarely missing one of their sporting events and always being there for anything they needed. Dale had the impressive ability to be able to speak on many subjects, knowing a little something about everything, which made him a great conversationalist, and he will be greatly missed. Dale is survived by his sons, Wade (Amy) Finke and Keith (Tina) Finke; brother, Lyle Finke; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Emma Finke; his wife, Janine Finke; brother, Douglas Finke; and sister, Carol Zeller. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg or the charity of your choice. A celebration of life has been scheduled. Cremation Society of Madison is serving the family, https://www.cremationsocietyofmadison.com.
