Casey Rebekah Kositzke

Casey Rebekah Kositzke was born September 17, 1998, in Omsk, Russia and arrived in the United States with her beloved adoptive parents Don and Beth Kositzke March 30, 2000. She never forgot her homeland and as a teenager got her first tattoo which said: Made in Russia.

Her parents saw a determined, loyal, head strong, fiercely independent young woman who was willing to take risks in defending her friends and loved ones. Casey was determined to follow her own path and throughout her journey she continually demonstrated that she had a KIND HEART. She would have saved every stray cat she met had she been able to.

Her siblings and friends remember Casey was always seeking happiness and it would be impossible to not laugh alongside her as she was quick-witted and endlessly funny. She was also extraordinarily generous. Her time, her attention and her love were given freely, without limits. She had a soft spot for cats and children.

School years found Casey active in many sports including volleyball, softball and basketball. She loved her teammates dearly. Always a hard worker, Casey adored babysitting and worked from a young age even travelling hours away to spend time with children who had once been in her care but had relocated. She still wanted to see these kids she loved.

After graduating Casey worked a variety of jobs taking on increasing responsibility, ultimately rising to become a Deli Manager.

Casey’s absence leaves an ache that words can’t fix nor fill, but her spirit, spunk, and smile will remain with us.

Casey is survived by her family, Don and Beth Kositzke, Kelly Kositzke Deppe (Adam), Nicholas Kositzke, Christoph Kositzke (Devon). Boyfriend (Brandon), and her furbaby, Lance. Casey was preceded in death by her furbaby Panther.
