Beverly Ann Hanson

Beverly Ann Hanson of Waunakee, WI, was called to eternal life on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the age of 77, due to heart failure.

Beverly was born September 5, 1945, to Lester J. and Jean (Bartlett) Hanson in Viroqua, WI. She often reminisced about her early years on farms in the Red Mound and Viroqua areas. A 1963 graduate of Janesville Senior High School, she earned an associate degree from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee before moving to Madison, where she proudly enjoyed a 35-year career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in numerous departments as a program assistant and administrative staff.

Beverly enjoyed automobile trips with family members and friends to nature and historic sites across the United States. Her passion for the outdoors was evidenced by her avid and generous support for wildlife causes and nature preserves. Throughout her life she made herself available to help family members and friends when they needed support. Beverly’s faith, family, and friends saw her through many health challenges over the years. Her positive outlook, love of life, diverse interests, and independent spirit will be remembered dearly by all.

Beverly was predeceased by her parents; brother, Larry J. Hanson; half-brother, Tyler Coyote; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by twenty-five cousins and generations of their families.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 25th, 2023, at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison, WI, at 11:00 a.m.
