Benjamin Thomas

I am writing to share the sad news that Benjamin Thomas of Beloit, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2026.

Benny was born Benjamin Arthur Thomas on May 22, 1953, in Blue Island, Illinois. He attended Beloit Public Schools and went on to work at the Beloit Corporation, drive heavy equipment in Delta Junction, Alaska, and serve as a sales attendant at Ace Hardware in Beloit. Known for his inability to say no, he also generously remodeled homes for many of his friends and family.

In his free time, Benny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and supporting the Green Bay Packers. He was an accomplished gardener and possessed a gift for drawing and painting. He will always be remembered for his hearty debates.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Virna and Lester Thomas; his son, Nathan Thomas; and his brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Edward Thomas.

He leaves behind his partner, Vicky Hogan (Matt, Lisa); his sons, Joseph Thomas and Clinton Thomas; his sister, Leslie Regenold (Doug); and his brother, Raymond Thomas (Judy), as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
