Barbara "Barb" Jean Wipperfurth

February 6, 1949 — February 16, 2021

Barbara (Barb) Jean Wipperfurth (Albers) was born February 6, 1949 to Russ and Mary Albers. She married her high school sweetheart and Jumbo Teddy Bear (Tom) on December 13, 1969 and they had 51 wonderful years together. To this union they had two children; Michael Thomas (Margy) and Christina Marie (Kirsten Pepper). She was blessed with three grandchildren; Madelyn Marie, Michael Benjamin and Drake Thomas. Her dream came true in 2002 when they built their new home. She loved decorating it especially at Christmas time and she loved playing “What’s in Grandma’s box?”. She always enjoyed the laughter of all when they saw the presents in the box. Her love for cardinals, snowman and teddy bears were shown throughout their home. She was a State Employee for 30 years. She was gifted as a Nanny for several families and was known for her love of children. She never lost track of her former Nanny families always waiting for that Christmas picture card and newsletter letting her know what they were up to. She loved playing Jeopardy nightly with Tom. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Tom, two children and three grandchildren; her sister Marcia Hanson and by her brothers Bill (Cher) and Tim (Nancy )Albers, her four nephews, Russ, Randy, Matthew (Jessica) and John (Julia); and her sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Loving you is the easiest thing I have ever done. Her children thought this message was particularly moving and best captured their feelings: You can only have one mother, patient kind and true. No other friend in all the world, will be the same to you. When other friends forsake you, to your mother you will turn. For all her loving kindness, she asks nothing in return. As we look upon her picture, sweet memories we recall, of a face so full of sunshine, and a smile for one and all. Sweet Jesus, take this message, to our dear mother up above, tell her how we miss her, and give her all our love. Love, your family. Services are planned for Saturday, September 18th 2021 11am Mass at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St Albert the Great Drive, Sun Prairie WI Life celebration picnic to follow at Orfan Park 2050 St Albert the Great Drive, Sun Prairie, WI
