Obituary for Anne Marie Kuhlmey Alvarez

June 15, 1940 – July 16, 2024

Anne Marie Kuhlmey Alvarez of McFarland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in the very early morning hours of Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 84. She had endured a long and brave battle with cancer for twelve years, making her a true survivor.

Anne was a Realtor in the Madison area for nearly three decades, and thoroughly enjoyed helping people find their new home.

Anne is survived by her children Cristina (Mark) Lewis, Patricia Alvarez, Daniel (Renee) Alvarez, Brenda (Jim) Hrlevich, her sister Mary Lou (Douglas) Leslie, and brothers Edward Kuhlmey and James (Pam) Kuhlmey. Surviving grandchildren include Jamie Wilkinson, Joan Moore, Jeremy Alvarez, Emma (Burke) Florom, Madyssen Hrlevich, Claire Hrlevich and Riley Hrlevich. Also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear friends.

Anne was preceded in death by both of her parents, Arvada (Paulson) and Edwards James Kuhlmey.

She is finally rid of the pain that the cancer imposed and has joined her special friend Robert (Bob) Abrahamson to rest together eternally.

A small memorial service is planned for Friday, October 4th at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, Wisconsin. Interment of her ashes will follow. A time has not been determined, but will be shared closer to October 4th.

The family would like to thank UW Health Carbone Cancer Center and her many healthcare providers, as well as Agrace Hospice for their care and support during Anne’s final months.
