Andy Affolter

Andy fought pancreatic cancer while living life to its fullest.

Andy could bring a smile to most with his sense of humor. He attended school in Monroe, WI, and lived mostly in Madison, WI, with time in Bern, Switzerland, Bermuda, and Boston. 

He worked in culinary locally, as well as in eastern USA and internationally. Andy was a foodie who loved to improve his cooking skills and watch others enjoy his creations.

Sports dominated his life, especially UW Badger football. Even Badger players commented on how awesome he was as a fan!

He enjoyed history, trivia, and a vast array of discussions about life that captivated a wide range of individuals. 

His travels focused on warm climates, especially swimming in the Aare River and Rock Lake; they were highlights.

Thanks to UW Health, Unity Point/Meriter Hospital, and Agrace hospice.

Parents, niece, and sister proceeded Andy in death. Survived by wife, JoAnn.

Andy’s life celebration will be held on Sunday, May 19th, 2024, 1-3 pm, with the progam beginning at 2PM. The location will be at the VFW Day Post #7591, 301 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison, WI 53716.
